A 22-year-old woman was found hanging in the operating theater of the burn unit of Phulo Jhano Medical College and Hospital here on Thursday morning.
She was identified as Balika Murmu of Mathachak village under Jama police station limit in Dumka district.
She and her husband, Rubilal Hembrom, have been staying in the hospital for the past few days to take care of their four-year-old daughter, Anima, who was being treated for burns.
The officer in charge of the Jama police station, Nawal Kishore Singh, said, “Probes are on to find out the reason for the suicide, especially as her daughter's condition was improving rapidly.”
